Inefficient Old Homes

I don't know about you, but I love old homes. To me, I feel a part of history when I am in one. I love looking at the beautiful craftsmanship, the old lumber, and the architectural styles. I also love to see how far we've come in building technology. Probably one of the greatest advances has been in energy efficiency. Most old homes in their original state are not energy efficient at all. However, if you're like me, you don't want to tear down the beautiful piece of history that you fell in love with. I stumbled across a great article, "This Old Wasteful House," which discusses this very topic with some good tips and points. I think you should read it. And if you have any questions on specific things you can do to make your own house more energy efficient, call or email Implement Green and we'll give you a free consultation on the subject.
